Upcoming SUVs from Suzuki: Launch Timeline

India's largest carmaker is getting ready to launch a wide range of vehicles in the near future, let's have a look at the Maruti Suzuki SUVs that will be launched shortly.

New Suzuki S-cross SUV

Maruti plans to unveil the new S-Cross in 2022, which has been revealed and is likely to be on sale by May, according to certain dealers who have already begun accepting bookings. The new generation Brezza, which will be released in Q2, is the most anticipated launch. It will be built on the same platform as the current model, but it will have a completely new look and interior, as well as a large list of new features.

New Suzuki Brezza SUV

The Vitara moniker will be dropped, and it will be renamed Brezza. The new compact SUV will come with paddle shifters, a new 6-speed automatic transmission, a sunroof (for the first time in a Suzuki car), and a host of other features. Soon after, the rebadged Toyota Urban Cruiser would be released.

New Suzuki Vitara SUV

Maruti expects to release the Vitara, codenamed YFG, in Q3 2022. Toyota will also release the same car, but with a different design. It will be built on a brand new platform and will sit above the Brezza. It will be built in Toyota's plant, with Suzuki supplying the components. A 1.5-liter Suzuki petrol engine with Toyota's hybrid technology will power the car.

New Suzuki Fururo-e SUV

In 2023, they aim to release an SUV Coupe based on the Futuro-e concept that was presented at the 2020 Auto Show. YTB is the codename for it. The car will be built on the same platform as the Baleno and will have hybrid technology.

New Suzuki Jimny SUV

Maruti will launch the India-spec Jimny with a longer wheelbase and five doors by the end of 2023 or early 2024. This is the SUV that we've all been anticipating, and it's still on hold. We believe it will be based on Jimny's facelifted version.

To compete with the Hyundai Alcazar, the company aims to release a 7-seater SUV in 2024. The SUV, codenamed Y17, is expected to replace the XL6. It'll most likely be built on Ertiga's Heartect platform.
