New Tata Harrier Facelift launching soon!

Tata Harrier Facelift

So this article is all about the Tata Harrier Facelift. So what changes will be made to it. Obviously, the dimensions won't be changed, but the changes will be made with the headlamps, grille, bumpers, and some tweaks could be made on the taillamps. The alloy wheel's design will be changed so that the car looks more stylish and fresh. So these types of changes will be made on the exterior. In the case of the interior, Tata is working on the new petrol engine for the Harrier, and the diesel engine will be intact as the earlier one.

The Tata Harrier comes with a 2.1L turbocharged diesel engine, which gives a power of 170 bhp and 350 Nm torque, and it comes with both a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. The petrol engine which is going to come will be a 1.5L Turbo petrol engine which will generate a power of 150bhp, and according to us, it will come with 6-speed manual transmission and 6-speed DCA. Tata Motors has developed this DCA gearbox to co-op up with the Indian conditions, so whether you drive it in hot summers or in heavy traffic, the life of the gearbox doesn't get affected. It is because gearboxes like DCTs and DSGs give problems. So basically, this one is designed for the Indian condition completely.

The price of the base model of the Harrier will eventually decrease with the facelift coming in because the cost of the petrol engine is comparatively more affordable than the diesel. Mostly the changes in the features are done in the top ends, and base models are kept intact with minor modifications. So you can't expect many changes in the base model's price. Whereas the petrol variant will be more affordable, you'll get a better entry-level product on the list if you want to buy a petrol car for less price.

We assume that Tata Motors is working on their suspension setup of the Harrier. Yes, Tata Motors is working on the suspension setup of the Harrier so that they can bring a product that is more capable of off-roading. It won't come with an all-wheel drive, but they are working on its suspension.

Now let's move toward the features. Tata has recently offered ventilated seats, and they provided an air purifier in the Harrier. Now the question comes what new features are coming? A few features from Safari like Electronic Parking Brake, Auto Hold, and Connected Car Technology. Harman and Tata Motors are working on making a few changes in the Harrier. The new infotainment system will be a little bigger in size, and it will support 360 cameras as well. The support of a 360 camera is currently not available in both Harrier and Safari.

Harman is also working on ADAS. But it is not sure that you'll get the ADAS system in the Harrier or in the Safari or both of them, but Harman is definitely working on the ADAS system, and Tata Motors products will be involved in it. So these are the changes that will be coming with the Facelift version.

Now the question comes when it will come? So this car is expected to launch in Early - Mid 2023. So almost 1 year is left after the launch of this car, which is not too long. So if you want Harrier with more features, or if you wish to buy Harrier with a Petrol engine, you should wait for a little more. This car is launching very soon in the market. The competition is going to be more intense here. For this post stay tuned to CERadar for more such auto and tech updates.
